Happy New Year to all our wonderful Phi Pi members! The first day of the new year is the typical time to make resolutions- the goals we wish to accomplish in 2021. Many people make personal resolutions to lose weight, to exercise more, or to practice stress management techniques. Some may make career resolutions such as applying for a promotion, achieving a specialty certification, or returning to school for a post- graduate or terminal degree. I would like to suggest adding one more New Year’s Resolution to your list. I want you to resolve to become more involved in the Phi Pi Chapter this year! It is really an easy resolution to make (and keep) as there are so many ways to do this. Our Membership Involvement Committee meets monthly; they are always looking for members with great ideas to keep us engaged and active. Our webpage lists many upcoming Phi Pi and Sigma events which may tempt you. Each month we highlight an educational offering from either Sigma or Nurse Tim (by the way, remember you have FREE account access to Nurse Tim as a Phi Pi member) which may interest you. As President, I hold a monthly “Coffee Talk with the President” Zoom meeting where we can just kick back, talk about “stuff”, and enjoy each other’s company for an hour. I would love to have you join us. HEADS UP- we will be holding our yearly Phi Pi Board member elections in early Spring- perhaps you may be interested in running for an open Board position!
As we enter 2021, I want to again wish you and your families a Healthy and Happy New Year. May you rise to the challenge of your resolutions and meet all of your goals.
All the best,
Donna

Phi Pi Cares Award
As we face uncertain times many of Phi Pi’s members have the added stress of finances do to unforeseen furloughs and layoffs. We are increasingly concerned with how we will buy groceries, pay for family needs, how to cover utilities, or even how we can purchase needed items to school our children at home. These concerns are shared by all of Phi Pi. In response to the Novel COVID-19 Pandemic, the Phi Pi chapter has created the Phi Pi Cares Fund.
If you are experiencing added financial difficulties, please let us know by completing the form below. The Phi Pi Chapter recognizes that during these times members need assistance in meeting financial obligations. Your application will be reviewed by a committee of Board members for a stipend from your Phi Pi community.
