Happy October, everybody!
Our chapter has been very busy the last few months. We had our 2nd Induction Ceremony in August, held New Member Orientation meetings, Coffee Talks with the President, Membership Involvement Committee meetings- so many events where we were able to meet each other “face-to-face” via Zoom. Do you know what I find one of the most rewarding things about these events? It’s the connection we make with each other! We can discover commonalities of our professional and personal lives and form new friendships. This is one of the many wonderful “perks” of membership in Phi Pi. My involvement with Phi Pi has afforded me the opportunity to meet members from all over the world. I have forged friendships with members working in clinical, academic, leadership, and political settings. I value each of those friends. As the late former President of the US, Woodrow Wilson said, “Friendship is the only cement that will ever hold the world together”. Expand your friendship circle- become involved in our chapter. My hope is you find membership in Phi Pi is “so much more that the cords”. Mine is…

Phi Pi Cares Award
As we face uncertain times many of Phi Pi’s members have the added stress of finances do to unforeseen furloughs and layoffs. We are increasingly concerned with how we will buy groceries, pay for family needs, how to cover utilities, or even how we can purchase needed items to school our children at home. These concerns are shared by all of Phi Pi. In response to the Novel COVID-19 Pandemic, the Phi Pi chapter has created the Phi Pi Cares Fund.
If you are experiencing added financial difficulties, please let us know by completing the form below. The Phi Pi Chapter recognizes that during these times members need assistance in meeting financial obligations. Your application will be reviewed by a committee of Board members for a stipend from your Phi Pi community.
