Greetings to all Phi Pi Members,
Our chapter was once again recognized at the International Level by Sigma in their Reflections in Nursing Leadership Journal in "The Power of Service Multiplied". There is strength in numbers and especially strength in nursing numbers. As the largest Sigma Chapter, Phi Pi is in a position to make a difference to those in need and partner with other Sigma chapter to expand our reach and role model our good deeds for we are 'all in this together'.
Phi Pi's partnership with all Region 3 (centeral US) chapters at the Bienneum for the Stuffed Animals for Emergencies was a terrific example of this. Again, in the first months of the new year, Phi Pi has been in a little 'friendly competition with our sister Chapter (Phi Nu --Walden University) to exercise and walk and raise money for St. Judes Children's Hospital.
Strength in numbers means too that Phi Pi is able to give back to our own members. Phi Pi is sponsoring 3 members from Seychelles off of East Africa to attend a Global Health Education Trip to Kenya. Phi Pi also recently awarded Ezobia Felder reimbursement for her professional nursing certification in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing- RNC-OB. Finally Phi Pi has three educational awards for this quarter, click here to find out more, and research or project grants for PhD or DNP students. As we prepare to welcome many new Phi Pi members March 28th at our next virtual induction, we just want to remind our current members of the important work that our chapter does to make professional nursing just a little bit better for YOU, no matter where you are in your life, profession, or geographic location.
Thanks for being a #phipinurse!
