Hello Phi Pi Family,
I would like to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to our outgoing Phi Pi leaders whose terms conclude on June 30. Our chapter is strengthened by the dedication, expertise, and service of volunteers who generously share their time and talents to advance nursing leadership, scholarship, and service.
To each of our departing leaders, thank you for your commitment to Phi Pi and Sigma. Your contributions have helped our chapter grow, support members, and create meaningful opportunities for engagement. The impact of your leadership will continue to be felt long after your term ends. On behalf of the entire chapter, thank you for your professionalism, passion, and service.
As summer begins, I encourage each of you to take time to rest, recharge, and enjoy time with family, friends, and those who matter most. Nursing and leadership are demanding callings, and moments of renewal are essential as we continue our work of improving healthcare everywhere.
As I begin my presidency, I am excited to introduce a guiding mantra for our chapter:
Together, We Are Caring, Connecting, and Creating Change.
This mantra reflects the very essence of who we are as Sigma nurses and nurse leaders.
- Caring reminds us that compassion remains at the heart of nursing, leadership, and service.
- Connecting emphasizes the power of relationships, collaboration, mentorship, and community within Phi Pi and across the nursing profession.
- Creating Change challenges us to use our knowledge, leadership, and influence to improve healthcare outcomes and positively impact the communities we serve.
This vision aligns closely with Sigma's 2025–2027 Organizational Call to Action, "Lead Together." Sigma's international leadership reminds us that our collective voice, value, and impact are strongest when we work in partnership with one another. Through collaboration and shared leadership, we can elevate nursing, advocate for meaningful change, and shape the future of healthcare together.
As we move forward, I look forward to partnering with each of you as we continue to build a chapter where members feel supported, engaged, and empowered to lead. Together, we will care for one another, strengthen our connections, and create meaningful change within Phi Pi, our profession, and our communities.
Thank you for all that you do for Phi Pi and Sigma.

With sincere appreciation,
Nadine Cesaire, DNP, MBA, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC
